Not a month had passed and we very happily found ourselves back state-side, this time for the CFMA conference, which was definitely worth the sweat!
Located in Phoenix Arizona we braced the 40-degree heat (or should we say 104-degrees Fahrenheit…) as a welcomed relief from the start of our cold winter down under in Melbourne, Australia.
And what better way to spend your time at a conference, then at the JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa. It was an incredible resort that made you feel like you were on a luxury holiday rather than at work!
As an exhibitor, we really enjoyed the many terrific conversations, product demos and outstanding feedback received from attendees at the show. Our stand was very busy, a huge thank you to everyone that stopped by.
You might have remembered us there as Progressclaim.com… well we’re quickly moving to Payapps as we take the U.S.A. and U.K. by storm.
At Payapps we help construction contractors better manage the monthly payment application submittal and approval process via our easy-to-use, real-time, online collaboration platform.
Check out our quick 2-minute video below, I think you’ll get what we’re about.
Some key highlights from the conference, and there were many, would have certainly been the fact we could finally introduce the newest addition to our team: Trudi Fenster, Executive VP of North America.
Trudi will lead our division into the US and Canadian markets, bringing with her a wealth of local industry experience. Having worked in a variety of leadership roles, including various roles at leading US construction enterprise vendor Viewpoint Inc, as VP of Professional Services – North America, Global Director of Professional Services, Global Consulting Services Manager and Enterprise Software Consultant.
As a result of an outstanding career at Viewpoint, Trudi has a deep understanding of how our key North American clients operate, the challenges they face and critically, how they use technology to address issues and grow their business.
The second highlight (of many!), would have to have been the closing night. The CFMA certainly know how to throw a party! The Pop Strings Orchestra were amazing and got the crowd out of their seats and on the d-floor. Fingers crossed they make their way down under for a tour in the near future.
One of the things we love most about conferences is meeting new people, especially fellow exhibitors who are all trying to help the construction industry with their innovative tech. We love finding out what our fellow exhibitors are all about so we send our man Hoggy around with our trusted microphone for what we call #HoggyTalks. He’s becoming an internet sensation……..so he thinks..
